Regional availability

Regional availability means the same model id can be active in one region and legacy or end of life in another. The date on the first-party API page does not move the date on Azure, Bedrock, or Vertex.

Last reviewed . Publisher: SunsetDiff. A source line names the day that page was read.

The rows below are copied from this site's model records. A shutdown cell is the date stored for that provider, not a date copied from another host.

Amazon Bedrock

The legacy lifecycle page says model lifecycle state can differ by AWS Region. The Regions column lists only the Regions covered by the announced EOL date. A model can remain Active in other Regions. A missing Region on a row is not a promise about that Region.

Bedrock dates are specific to Bedrock and may differ from the dates the model provider publishes. For a Bedrock call, only the Bedrock dates apply.

Azure, Vertex, and the first-party APIs

Anthropic says its dates apply to the Claude API, Claude Platform on AWS, and Microsoft Foundry. Amazon Bedrock and Google Cloud set their own retirement schedules, so status and dates can differ.

Azure publishes a separate retirement schedule for Foundry Models sold by Azure. A model version can retire on a different day than the same id on the OpenAI API. Vertex retirement dates are on the model versions page, not on the Gemini API deprecations page.

Azure also orders deployment types by how widely they are available: Global Standard, then Global Provisioned, then Data Zone, then regional Standard and Provisioned. Older models lose the regional deployment types as they retire. That availability order is not the same fact as a Bedrock per-region EOL row.
