Google Vertex AI shut down 6 models on April 21, 2025: chat-bison, code-gecko, gemini-1.0-pro-001, gemini-1.0-pro-002, gemini-1.0-pro-vision-001, and text-bison. Official replacements named by the provider: gemini-2.5-flash and gemini-2.5-flash-lite. Requests to these models started failing on that date.
